Living a life of constant on the go mumbo jumbo, a little adventure here and there is good for the soul.
Last Tuesday Scott and I finally had our break to make a get away so we packed up the car and off we went! It May have only been a 15 minute drive and one nights stay but we made it all that it could have been.
We have little experience camping, therefore it made our trip twice the fun! When we checked in to stay the night at the Bader campground, we had no idea what was really in store for us!
We recieved a little Map of trails and places to pitch our tent. After we chose our spot, and placed our tent we experienced the full package! We did it all, Hiking, swimming, made a campfire, and best of all ate smores! Costing us only $15 It was simple but it was wonderful !
In the moment of heating up marshmallows, stargazing and admiring fireflys Scott played our favorite song. After a long day of just spending time with one another it hit me that we are doing life all wrong. That these were the moments that are suppose to out weigh the hustle and bustle of house work and jobs. These are the moments from God that we let slip through our hands and away from our hearts.
The followinf morning as we pack up to leave for reality we attempt one more hour of bliss... So what do we do? Procrastinate! We head for another trail. But all good things must come to an end!
When it was all said and done we returned home and here I am once again cleaning the house and putting all the fun away! I decided then and there the laundry can wait untill tomorrow and today was ours to spend!
